Cheryl Okoli
Schedule:
Friday, at 4:00 PM Pacific

Have you ever been involved in a conflict situation or a situation that requires negotiation in the workplace? The answer is probably a resounding “yes!” Did you know that resolving conflict and the negotiation process is like a dance? Come join me for my interactive weekly hour show to learn the what, how, why, when, where, or who of conflict (interpersonal, task, and value), its various forms of resolution, mnemonics, and much more… You will leave informed and empowered 😊.  Part 1- The first 15-30 minutes, depending on the topic (new format as of September 2022) of each episode is educational, interactive (reflective exercises, no one-on-one direct interaction with the viewers, and insightful call-to-action steps), and recorded.  Part 2- The remaining 30 plus minutes is not recorded and comprises a stimulating, one-on-one conversation and Q & A segment with the viewers.

Additional treats:

Story Time: Third Friday of the month- The content can entail the analysis of a movie, individual, organization, event, etc. as it pertains to conflict analysis and the theme of the month.

Guest- Last Friday of the month. An individual that is a conflict resolution expert or has something salient to share regarding theme of the month or topic/episode at hand.

More about Cheryl Okoli:

I, Dr. Cheryl Okoli, DHA have a doctorate in health administration and I describe myself as a “Doctor for your health administration needs" aka the business of health care.  You can think of me as a doctor that looks after YOU, a health care organization administrator/overseer/executive, in my role as a health administrator consultant, as it pertains to your administration/managerial/directorial needs and assists you to diagnose, recommend, and treat your administration/organizational ailments, using appropriate evidence-based frameworks ;)

I have over 19 years of combined experience in the health care industry in Alberta, Canada, functioning in various roles and specialties at the frontlines, leadership, management, a consultant, and owner of Shalom: Eagle's Wings.  I utilize knowledge gleaned in my original pursuit to be a Nurse Practitioner in the past (but kindly note that I'm not a Nurse practitioner), experiences as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (an advanced practice role), and Director of Care to inform various recommendations for health system changes in various advocacy efforts and consultation work to date in various health care sectors. In keeping with my specialty in health administration, I offer consultation services for high level strategic management (i.e., strategic planning, execution and implementation) in addition to other organizational development services like quality improvement, change management, risk management, policy creation/reviews, and more. I am based in Alberta, Canada.

I am also passionate about empowering employees of all levels of an organization to deal with conflict effectively in order to foster organizational productivity and employee satisfaction.  I am certified as a conflict coach with the Canadian International Institute for Applied Negotiation for the Hybrid program.  In addition, I have the privilege to be a published author and the recipient of the 2011 ORNAC Johnson & Johnson Drake Thompson writing award for the article, “Conflict in the Operating Room: Fight and Flight or Growth and Communication.” My most recent book in 2021, Conflict Resolution in the Operating Room: Fight, Flight, or Growth, and Communication. A Manual for New Employees (Revised), has been translated into five European languages and is available on Amazon (Canada, US, UK) and morebooks.shop!!!

I am delighted and humbled to have the platform of Win Win Women network to serve as a global show host/mentor/coach to empower women (I know men watch the replays as well, lol!) of all walks in life to deal with conflict effectively.
